A classic backcountry touring ski, the lightweight Madshus Glittertind offers sturdy, all-round performance particularly well-suited for off-trail and powder snow skiing. A wider tip shape breaks trail easily off groomed snow, while the full length steel edge lets you ski confidently when conditions firm up.image

Follow-up review: I have used this ski for two seasons now, and this is my go to ski for hitting trails through the woods. I used these mostly to go on hunting and hiking trails off the groomed path. I have been using this in Minnesota as my go to backcountry ski. I use voile 3-pins for touring and have the optional cable attachment for downhill. Using these for backcountry touring in the woods is a blast. I float on the snow pretty well, unless its powder. I ordered 205 cm and I weight 170 lb.
