I’ve gone through many trail runners, approach shoes, and hiking boots. These are just running shoes with ankle support, stiffer soles, and a more significant toe rand. The laces stop mid foot and allow for such a wide expanse of fabric above the toes, I can’t imagine really using these for anything slightly technical.
