I bought these rain pants for my husband and they are a great fit and he is a tall muscular man. So far they worked great for watching soccer games in the rain, but haven't yet tested them backpacking in the Olympic Rain Forest. But my husband is very pleased with them and is looking forward to the trek in his precip pants.

i used the precipitation pants while hiking the JMT this summer. I went over Forester Pass and was greeted with blowing rain that threatened hypothermic conditions. I put on my precip jacket and pants. The rain turned to blowing snow and I hiked quickly back over the pass and back to a lower elevation. The pants and jacket kept me dry.

Based on a number of positive reviews, I ordered these on sale. Couldn’t be more pleased—they fit well, are well designed with 2 mesh lined side pockets and a back pocket, have a cord cinch at each ankle, lower leg zippers for easy on-off over boots, and most importantly, they are waterproof and wind proof! They seem durable and the price was right. Highly recommended!

Make sure to note that the zipper is in the pant cuff and not longer along the side of the pant leg. They should describe it as a cuff with a zipper instead of using a description that could allow one to wrongly interpret the zipper went along most of the side of the leg
You could wear them over a fitted jean or thermals. I would stick with your normal size. They are pretty wide leg. It just depends on what you wear underneath. Thanks!
Thanks for your question. A medium should fit a waste size of 31-33", a large will fit 34-36", and an XL will fit between 37-39". Please give us a call at 1-877-883-6276 if you have anymore questions!
