Product Info for Montane Superfly XT Jacket - Men's
Designed and constructed to withstand the toughest of conditions, the Superfly XT is built to endure in the mountains. Used by guides and mountain rescue teams across Europe this hard shell features a multiplicity of pocket options, extra vents, climbing helmet compatible hood and reinforced shoulders, elbows and hips for extra protection. This is our longest fitting shell designed to maximize coverage and accommodate winter insulation.

I've used many shells, but this is by far the best waterproof shell I've ever worn. First of all, stop drinking the Gore-Tex Kool-Aid. There are far better fabrics available (eVent, Mountain Hardwear Dry-Q Elite which uses eVent technology, and the new Polartec Neoshell fabric). If you think Gore-Tex is the gold standard, you are WRONG.

Used on a humid rainy xmas eve in the snowy Mountains in Australia. There are conditions when my 6 ounce wp/b doesn't cut it. This jacket is made for those conditions. I would recommend this jacket for times when wearing, rather than packing, this jacket are expected.
The hood lives up to what we have come to expect from UK designs: simply excellent.
