What's up with the sizing?

I bought this to go under a shell when skiing. The torso is way too long and hangs out longer than my shell, and my shell isn't short by any means. Plus it fits ok in the shoulders, but is huge in the belly region. I'm no skinny guy (5'11" and 225 lbs) and this was still ridiculously baggy. Great alternative to Nanopuff

Was looking at the Nanopuff but could not find a good fit. I'm 5'10" 180lbs, and wasn't happy with the Nanopuff in M or L. Took a chance on the Thermostatic in M and it's fits me perfectly. Can layer both over and under comfortably. No quality issues. Got a great deal too. Very pleased!
