This cap is a non-optional accessory to replace the "Child-Resistant" cap now standard on MSR fuel bottles. Required, if you value your life when the stove MUST work.

I bought these to replace the childproof caps that came with the bottle. I don't hike with children and the last thing I need is a cap that might fail to open. I bought extras to replace some ond ones too. Great high quality product from MSR.
