These have worked out great on the 2 outings I've been on since the purchase. I weighed in at 275 pounds with pack and gear. These kept me afloat in deep soft snow. The heel elevators work great, just have to make sure the hill is steep enough and it feels like your walking on stairs.

Shoes pivot on a traction bar and do not have the lateral flex you get from the Atlas shoes, but is not too hard on the ankles while traversing. Handles all conditions, last trip I went from soft deep snow to wind blown hard pack on a... Read more
Best snowshoe I have ever worn. I hike lots of back country and up 3000' ascents here in Vt. Great in snowy conditions with ice below. Crampons are still best for ice, but these do work well on ice. Bindings are awesome as well. Worth the money.
Sweet as can get! Very versatile snowshoe. Aggressive, but really light. Easy to put on and off. Used it on some steep approaches and few ridges full of fairly deep snow in NH Whites, on frozen and steep snow, worked very surely. I'm 6' and 165 and with 20 pounds in my backpack had no issues at all (I got 22'' model which supposed to be up to 180 pounds). I love them shorter, f... Read more
