Sturdy small square bag

Little disappointed but useful

I haven't attached this item yet, but I was disappointed that I couldn't feel the roughness of the old one due to the recent change in the material of mystery ranch product. But it would be very useful for other backpacks in mystery ranch without a belt pocket.

Handy way to expand your pack

I have had a little thing for Mystery Ranch packs since I learned about the company a few years ago. These flip top boxes attach to your hip belt. They look like they could attach to your chest straps too. They offer a nice little pocket for your sun screen, camera, sun glasses, maps,...whatever. Mystery Ranch Flip Top Box - perfect for small cameras, lenses, and other do-dads

As expected, this "box" is well-made with solid materials and stitching. A great size for attaching to a pack belt. My only issue is the quick-release clip on the back loop which can dig in to my waist if not positioned well. maybe make the loop longer on the top half and place this clip on the underside of the box so it's out of the way?
