Patagonia's Baggies Shorts are made from a quick-drying Supplex nylon with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, they have a casual fit and an elasticized waistband with internal drawstring. The Baggies shorts have vertical side pockets to reduce drag in water, pocketbags with drain-and-dry mesh corners and rear snap pocket.

The one pair I owned of these was 10+ years old, utterly faded, but without a loose thread, lining not stretched, waistband still solid elastic, great quality shorts. These new pair are just about exactly as good, which is a great surprise (they use a flat rather than round drawstring.) Worth the $$ you pay.
