Product Info for Perfect Hatch Perfect Thread 18 Spool Assortment
3/0 Nylon Thread: A good all around thread for flies ranging from #14 up to #8. 3/0 is great for "Humpy " bodies or building tapered bodies on nymphs.
6/0 Thread: Probably the most used size thread. 6/0 is really a 70 Denier. It's main use is for small flies #22G #14. It lays flat and is extremely strong. Two or three turns are plenty for fixing materials.
8/0 Thread: This is the thread you reach for when 6/0 is too much, like on your size 20 and smaller flies. A woven thread with little stretch is great for all sorts of flies and thread positioning is better than with flat threads.
