This is the perfect water filter for small group backpacking trips. This filtered enough water for our group of 4 in under 10 minutes, hangs easily at your campsite for future use, and is easy to back flush (although rarely necessary).

Used the Platypus Gravity 2 bag system this weekend, and it was great. So convenient. Having instant access to clean water without having to pump or wait drip drip drip for the gravity feed is a game changer. Can easily support 6 to 8 ppl.

I tried out my Platypus recently in Colorado back country and it works well. Sets up easy and water was ready in minutes. Back flushing the filter is just as easy. Also it packs up into a nice small roll. Happy with the quality.

I love this filtration system! It's user friendly and faster than pump styles. The amount of water you get from the bag is enough to do dishes and wash up a little plus put water in whatever container you've chosen

Backflushing is easy and we were able to filter 20+ litres of water in about half an hour without getting a swole pumping arm. Lightweight and easy to use, I'm so excited to ditch the pump.
I spend lots of time hunting, fishing & camping. Most of the time I pack in as light as I possibly can. When you do these types of things, two things are of utmost importance. And that is fire and water. Generally, the first thing I do when I set up camp, is fill the dirty reservoir of my Platy Gravity Works and set it to filtering water while I go about setting up the tent and... Read more
