How far from the battery pack can the panel be located? What is the length of the connection cord?

Cord Lengths:
Lights: 18 ft (5.5m)
All hanging lights are chainable
Solar Panel: 21 ft (6.5m)

do I have to buy my own battery? What kind?

There is one included in the solar panel: 6 Watt Solar Panel + 20Wh Internal Battery
