These are a prohibited item for carry-on luggage, as any sports equipment that could possibly be used as a bludgeoning weapon is not permitted in a plane cabin.

This is a question you would want to contact the TSA about to get a correct answer. From what we can see it looks as if they would be prohibited from carry on luggage.
