Does this straw have a restrictor on it? And this mentions a bite valve. Does the child have to bite the straw when they suck in order to get a drink? — 1 Answer

There is no restrictor, it's just an open tube. If you tip it upside down not all the water will flow out because there is a straw inside the bottle. You don't have to bite in order to suck.
