Is this for a Medium or Large Torso?

The Exped lightning 45 pack fits a 17 - 22.5 inch torso and fits a 27.5 - 52.5 inch waist/hips.

is the blue color a newer model? What differences are there between the newer and older model?

From Exped, "Thanks for the email. We added the women’s size last year and their have been some very slight changes to the materials used in the aluminum stay. Other then that there have been no updates to the pack recently. Cheers!"

besides the compression strap going through the water bottle pocket is there any other difference between the colors?

The blue is on clearance and is the only pack we have in stock currently. The straps do pass through the water bottle pockets. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

So I just bought this pack, and on other websites and youtubes, realized there are womens and mens version. Is this a womens or mens?

Are all three color options the same. I know the older model had the compression straps over the water bottle pockets.

They are not the same, the green model has over the pocket compression straps while the blue has through the water bottle pockets. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
