What's the difference between "weight" and "minimum weight"? What's not included in the minimum weight?

The weight is 8 lbs and 13 oz which is for the tent, the fly, the p
oles and the footprint. The minimum weight of all the items minus the actual tent, which is 7 lbs and 4 oz.
