Yes you would be fine using these poles. They can be set anywhere from 105 cm to 135 cm. I'm 5'7 and like mine set to about 115-120 cm, so start shorter (more sturdy) and make them longer until you find the right height for you!

Yes. I'm 5'3" as well and have been using these over the past year worth of hikes. I find them very comfortable!
