From my understanding the Military issued ones are made in US and the civilian issued ones are made outside the US, but has the same quality specifications.
This is the civilian version of the tent. The military version is pretty much exactly the same just required to be made elsewhere.
If you go on the Lifefighter website, it will answer your question. I tried to post the answer here for you but for whatever reason, it didn’t go through.
I had submitted the answer from the Lite Fighter website but it must not have been approved. You can find the answer to your question in the FAQ’s on their website.
What is the difference between the FIDO Series and the LiteFighter 1 & 2 tents?
The tents are incredibly similar. The FIDO Series imitates the existing LiteFighter line and is intended for those looking for that same quality and durability but at a more affordable price. The increasing demand from the US military led to our American manufacturing plants operating at full capacity and dedicating themselves to meeting the needs of the warfighters; meanwhile complicating our efforts to meet the demand for our online customers. Therefore, we launched the FIDO Series and production overseas. These tents offer the same durable design and quality you’d expect from our existing US-made, military tents. They are still sourced in the United States and adhere to the same quality standards.
When compared to the LiteFighter 1 & 2, the FIDO Series has a few differences:
DAC All-in-one Aluminum Pressfit vs. GhostBone Ballistic Fiber
MultiCam® vs. OCP camouflage rainfly
DAC J-stakes vs. Dog Bone stakes
Each tent includes a groundsheet
“All-in” (AI) options that come with a Tuff Sack and Cold Weather Kit
We chose the aluminum pole sets and J-stakes to maintain our goal of offering “more for less” and a more affordable price. By launching production overseas, we can be more cost efficient without betraying our promise of durable, high-quality goods; in return, those savings are passed onto our customers.
