The most recommend, is to use Nikwax Down Wash Direct for down-filled bag.

Even though the bag is water-resistant the down does NOT appear to be treated with dri-tek or any other product to help protect the down sucking up liquid and to help it dry faster. Is this true?

You are correct that it does not have any down treatment. The waterproof part of the bag is the outside material. It is a waterproof/breathable membrane material. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
