What are the pockets made of?

Yes, some but they have great features to allow them to really get great mobility like a gusseted crotch.

can a person get this product in a 40 - 42 size with a 29 t0 30 inseam

Marmot only makes a size 28-40 waist. So you can and then they make the size 40 in a short, which is a 30 inseam length. Just call our customer service team and they can make the arrangements to order you one. Thanks
