I think that Marmot is a brand that fits true to size. The Tamarack Jacket is a coat that I feel you could easily get away with a mid-light weight fleece underneath this coat.

These jackets run true to size according to the size charts on the website. With that in mind, you may want to order one size up for room when you wear heavy sweaters and fleece jackets.
