I am 5'3" and use US size 8 or Italian size 44. Would the regular inseam, medium size pant be the right fit?

If that is a 30.5" waist(for a size 8 US pant size), I would go with a small. The inseam is the measurement from the crotch to the hem. It is 30" for Short, 32" for Regular, and 34" for long. So this measurement is different for everybody of the same height, since it is a measurement of how long your legs are in proportion to your body. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
