You will be able to see through the tent when the canopy/fly is not on. With the canopy/fly you cannot see into the tent. Thanks

Mountain Hardwear tents are built to withstand extreme conditions within reason. If you tie down the sides of the fly and peg it down it should withstand pretty tough conditions but if you want to use it in torrential conditions like pre hurricane, or straight-line winds I would not recommend it. The only tents that are designed to be in constant adverse conditions are the expedition tents but they are not designed to be a packing tent because they are too heavy.
