Yes, the hatch can be close with the tent attached. The three inside straps connected to the tailgate latch and cargo bag hooks for the sleeve must be unhooked and then the hatch is able to be closed.

Hi there! You wouldn't be able to close the hatch with the tent attached. However, you can easily remove the vehicle sleeve and zip up that wall to transform your tent into a traditional ground then. That way, you would be able to close your hatch and drive away from your campsite without having to disassemble the tent.
