I had the same question. Here is what I was told:

Thank you for your interest in NEMO Equipment. To set up the Veda 1P tent properly, the trekking poles should be 48" long.

To achieve maximum peak height you would want to have poles around the 135-140 cm length. Shorter poles will work, you will reduce peak height and possibly have some extra material that sags slightly.
