Canisters vary is size and weight. They can be hard to order online because they are a hazardous shipment item, but you can usually get them a a local sporting goods store. You dispose them by using them up until their completely empty and then punching a hole in them (can use a can opener or a special tool like the CrunchIt from Jetboil). You are then able to recycle them as a mixed metal. Cost varies, but is usually $5-8 for the regular sizes.
