I see this mid weight base layer uses 4.4 Polartec Power Grid and the same base layer in the "thermal weight" uses 3.8 Polartec Power Grid. Would this mean that this mid weight base layer is warmer than the "thermal weight" which is classified as a heavyweight baselayer? — 1 Answer

The thermal is definitely warmer than the mid-weight the thermal is 3.8 oz but with the combination of other fabrics and technology the thermal is warmer.
