I would like to use these on my PCT thru-hike this summer but will be wearing trail runners not boots. Will the design of these crampons work on the soft, low shoes I'll be wearing? — 2 Answers

The Crab 6 Crampons would probably work on trail running shoes, although they are not designed for them. I would suggest using Kahtoola MICROspikes instead. You can find them at Campsaver here: http://www.campsaver.com/microspikes-traction-system

It looks like this is only compatible with sturdy shoes and boots. It also looks like it will not work on soft shoes.
