The Kinetic Jackets are constructed from 2.5Layer Pertex Shield+ fabric. Waterproofing of Shield+ is superior to that of Shield. Breathability, as measured by Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate, is 20,000 grams (compared with MVTR 7,000 grams for the original Pertex Shield fabric).
