Would this shoe work well when sledding and shoveling snow? Or is it more for rain and mud?

This boot would work great for each of those activities. However this is a fashion styled winter boot, so choosing a model that resembles a more typical winter hiking boot may be more functional.

Is the boot insulated and warm for the dead of a Minnesota winter or do you suggest another sorel boot? Thank you!

This boot has insulation. about 100g so it will work in the cold, there are other Sorel boots with more insulation and better fitted for winter. I think I would suggest the Caribou boot which has a -40 F rating.

Is the dark fog sorel tall boot a gray? It's hard to tell from the photo. Also do they run small or true? Or bug?

The Dark Fog is more of a washed out brown/tan. They run .5-1 size small.
