Are these boots breathable?

Hello, thank you for your inquiry.

Yes the Taku GTX boots are breathable, but leather will not breathe as much as mesh and the Gore-Tex waterproof liner is breathable as well but a boot without the waterproof liner would breathe more. Depending on your preferences, and intended use there are a few different options available to you. If you would like a leather boot for its durability and support, you can get one that does not have a waterproof liner. You can still treat the leather with waterproofing products which will help keep you dry in case of rain or wet terrain and will breathe pretty well. Also, if you would still like a fully waterproof boot you could choose a boot that utilizes mesh instead of leather. Lastly, if you will not be crossing streams, creeks etc and encountering lots of wet conditions you could try a boot that just uses mesh and no waterproof liner. This option will breathe the most. Many places where it is consistently hot and sunny will dry a boot like this very quickly so an all mesh boot can be a great option. I've listed below a few boots that fit each of these types so you can find what would best suit your needs.
