This shoe can be used in a triathlon. This is a minimalistic barefoot style shoe designed for long distance running. Please consider that minimalistic barefoot footwear typically requires additional training to properly adapt your body to the style of shoe.

You do not have to wear socks with these. We would not recommend them for sustaining hiking, if there are small trails with water it would be the optimal use. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
