What is the diameter of the stem of the shovel (not sure what you mean by "grip" but I'd like to know the diameter of the tube that fits into the shovel head component, to see if it would be compatible with my shovel head. — 1 Answer

The grip is the part of the D handle that you actually hold onto. Sorry for the confusion. Voile's shovel heads and handles are all compatible, so if you have a voile shovel head it should fit. The part of the shaft that slides into the handle is just a little bigger than 1 1/8 inches in diameter.
