WM list their bags in three sizes - 5'6, 6, and 6'6. You list your sizes in Regular and Long. How do your sizes correspond with Western Mountain?

Our 3 size listings correspond as such for Western Mountaineering sleeping bags: Short (5'6), Regular (6'0), and Long (6'6).

Is the zipper direction designation (left, right) as you are facing the bag top laying on it or laying in it on your back?

If you are laying inside the bag on your back, the left zip will be on the left side. A right zip will be on the right side.

Hi, I'm 5"6 tall, is short too tight for me?

The short would probably work just fine for you. If you were to size up you would likely have too much dead space by your feet.
