just got back from the Wapta Traverse and used this as my base layer when skinning. When too hot I could pull the zipper down, when resting pull the zipper up and don a hardshell. I wore this pull-on on a moderate hike in a shaded canyon with temps around 35F and was very comfortable. Kept dry though the hike. Added a down vest when I stopped for lunch to keep the warmth in. I bought the large as the medium was a bit tighter than other brands. I will buy another one for sure!
I've used my Orbit for ice climbing, ski touring and snow shoeing. I have stayed warm and dry in a wide range of conditions. It is also smart enough to wear in the bar and comfortable enough for lounging around at home. My only regret is not buying two!
