When wearing out and about to casual activities these are stylish enough to get comments. As far as using them for their actual purpose of hiking they are even better. They are pretty heavy even for a Gore-tex shoe, but having walked in shoe deep mud and water and not even noticing I can live with that. Another reason these come in as heavyweights is they are also a very stiff shoe. I fell like yo
