Great tread, ok shoe - Adidas Terrex Swift R Hiking Shoe - Mens

These shoes look a less trail worthy from the top than others. The tread gives great traction and holds well on every surface I have used them on. The problem is the lacing system prevents getting the shoe tight enough to get the support needed. I had had a shoe degloved when caught in rocks. They are more like hiking in slippers than real shoes. I'm not sure I could replace the laces with real ones to overcome this problem.
If you want a shoe with the convince of slippers and tracks stuff in on the tread like something rugged, this is your shoe.
