Tony's Review of Adidas Terrex Swift R2 GTX Shoes - Men's
I went in search of some Adidas Outdoor Terrex Swift R2 GTX shoes after learning that disc golf's Paul McBeth endorsed them (the previous version) for a few years. I'd been wearing foam sole Cushe shoes for a whlie and while they feel like slippers in comfort, they have have little traction on the trails or slopes I frequent in disc golf. I knew i wanted something with traction and more protection from toe stubs on stumps, etc, but without looking too much like an over technical "dad shoe". The Swift R2 GTX does this perfectly. The quick lacing system is icing on the cake, as i'm a fan of easy on, easy off shoes. The first days with my shoes my feet did have an adjustment period getting used to the stiffness, and i realized for my foot and ankle bone I preferred to remove the laces from the top holes, and after that the comfort was really good. I haven't worn them in the water yet except for morning dew which they resisted excellently, so the glory of the GoreTex will shine another day. With the great deal at Campsaver.com it would purchase them again without a second thought. Thanks!
