I get out into the back-country a lot. I usually wear through a pair of boot soles every 12 months. My last pair of boots Lowas the soles didn't wear out but the seems on toe area busted out. After researching boots I learned I was not wearing a stiff enough boot for the 150lbs loads I was caring off trail. I have never heard of the brand AKU but would now recommend to anyone.
