jen's Review of ALPS Mountaineering Aries Copper Rust Tent

I really liked this tent when I bought it a year ago. It has a decent space to weight ratio, a large floor area and two large vestibules. The only thing I don't like is the longevity of it. I think cutting down on weight for room sacrificed some durability. I babied this tent but the mesh is easy to tear.... and did tear. The dog and boyfriend are still pointing fingers.... It held up well in the rain. It had a little water in the tent but definitely could have been condensation. One night it was out was high winds and a long rain. The bottom floor was a little damp and water dripped in. I did not have the guy lines put on so some credit there. Another night on a different trip it was in a crazy downpour. It did very well in that. I would suggest this tent but would say reconsider if you are around dogs and people who might be a little rough on it since the mesh is so fine.
