David's Review of ALPS Mountaineering Camp Creek 6 Tent - 6 Person, 3 Season
We have a 5 person alps meramac that has served us faithfully for years. As our family grows in size, the tent has become too small for all 4 of us. We upgraded to this tent for longer trips or ahen more than 1 tent isnt allowed. It is plenty spacious and does a good job keeping rain out. Typically I prefer to be able to set up the tent alone. That is IMPOSSIBLE with this tent. Two sides of the tent need to be raised at the same time. If you don't, either a side will collapse or you put a ton of strain on the poles. I was worried they would snap the first time it was set up. Once up it feels sturdy, but getting it to that point can be tricky, even with 2 people. If you're under 5ft 5in, you'd have a ton of trouble putting up the side poles.
Pros:
Roomy
Cons:
Hard to assemble
Best Used for:
Car Camping
