April's Review of ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Cot

I read many reviews where people had difficulty in assembling it, but it hasn't been a problem for me. The holes in the fabric line up with the holes in the rails, and flexing the legs to insert is just a matter of setting the cot on the side and leaning on them, not trying to muscle them into place. It's a little awkward to got on and off, especially since the leg contact points are under the cot by a few inches, so leaning on the edge makes it pop up. Once on the cot it was comfortable enough, and no bars under the canvas to dig into your back. Felt a little unstable, but nothing bad happened when I rocked it side-to-side and end-to-end.

I will likely use this in my smaller car camping tent, as a loaner for camping companions, or on those occasions when I crash at a friend's house on my way to bigger adventures. Packs smaller than my full-size cot (which is not a surprise) so more convenient for short stays.
