TAZ's Review of ALPS Mountaineering Red Tail Backpack, 80 Liters

Ordered this Alps Red Tail 80 for my first wilderness excursion and it is just what I wanted. The quality of the bag and the essentials to the pack made everything worthwhile. It provided lots of room and then some and was very comfortable to pack for the 7 days in the backcountry. It withstood the rigors of the hike without a hint of problems.
Pros:
  • 80liters is plenty
Cons:
  • Needs more lash points
Best Used for:
  • Long excursions
