Wonderful, durable mountaineering boot - Asolo TPS 535 LTH V Evo Backpacking Boots - Men's

I have worn Asolo Boots for over thirty hears, I'm partial to Italian boots. These are my favorite Asolos, a real classic with a single piece of full grain 2.6 mm leather forming the boot. Nice vibram sole, easy to put crampons on and the shank is nicely firm for crampons while at the same time flexes for walking. Great support for backpacking and at the same time the boot breaks in quickly (I have a pair of Pivetas from the '70s I'm still breaking in!!). Finally these are very durable boots and the cushion on the sole won't wear out like the tennis shoe boots which are so popular today. It just doesn't compress the same way, I have about 600 miles on my five year old pair and there is plenty left!! Also I really like that these are not Gor-Tex, much cooler and at the same time with SnowSeal they are waterproof. Go retro, be classic, get a pair of 535s.
