Reviews from outdoor gear and wild snow pretty much right on. Only slight drawback is smallish size of snow tools pocket. New Float 22 & 32 address this with full clamshell zipper and added length at top of pocket. Otherwise Float 27 is ideal in every way for day tours and heli or lift or ride assisted sidecountry. Already has goggle pocket, R/L option for trigger in shoulder strap, and attached helmet carry. I like the daisy chain and gear clips for additional carry items such as rope, anchor or Raven style ax, even crampons. Float 27 is now discontinued but is a nice size for 5-10 to 6-2 as smallish pack/airbag. I got mine on sale so never really considered other bags, but if not Float 27 then I would get Float 22 for my needs.
