For the money I was happily surprised. It has better features than the more expensive units. In fact I haven't seen one at any price I would rather have. IT fits easily into my BCA float backpack. You can quickly pull it out and pull the core which assembles it. A pinch mechanism holds it there. It is marked for depth of penetration. When done you pinch it again and break it back down. Simple and easy.
