After I received it I wished I had of gotten the BV 500. But this canister worked fine. Took me a few tries to get it open. I had to practice before getting it without any tool help. It's advertised as 3-4 days guess it depends on what you have in the way of food. I was only able to carry 3 days worth. And I forgot about the toiletries so that was fun. Overall I liked this Bear Canister.
