The farnsworth is a bit heavier than most 60 gm fill jackets.The pinneco core insulation seems loftier and is warmer than primaloft gold.The sizing for me is spot on.I’m 5’10” 185 heavy through the Chest and back.I purchased a large.The pockets are well thought out,more like what you’d find on a belay jacket.The hood adjusts from the front not back which I was skeptical of but works fine.I haven’t worn it in light rain or snow so I can’t comment on its water resistance.I consider it an excellent piece.

  • Winter hiking when belay parka not needed
