This is a great tent for backpacking. I and my son took it out for a four day hike on the Pacific Northwest beaches in February and it kept constant rain completely at bay. Exiting and entering the tent was easy, and setup was straight forward and takes about six or seven minutes. I used, and would recommend, a footprint because the floor of the tent seems pretty insubstantial.
