Jayce Lemmer's Review of Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL 3 Tent

I’m going to be parroting the reviews I have seen on other websites about its tearing problems but For some background, I have a few ul tents that are both single and double walled and usually have anywhere from 4-6 tents in my possession at any one time that all have different uses for me. I purchased this one to shed a few pounds in my base weight to achieve some longer distant hiking with my dogs since my 2 persons tents tend to feel a little cramped. Mind you every single one of my tents has had my dogs in in including my big Agnes scout, to my mountain headwear ghost to my marmot tungsten ul3 and i havent had any issues with them or their nails causing holes. But I used the tent for the first time this weekend(purchased last week as well) and it developed at 2 inch tear in the wall of the bathtub. Not quite sure what even caused it as it wasn’t where the dogs would be walking nor where there was anything to snag it. But the bathtub is so thin that you could make out every letter on my tyvek footprint and any piece of grass or dirt stain as well. The bathtub and lower tent material just feels really fragile and I feel I need to be super delicate to make sure the floor doesn’t get torn which makes me not want to spend time in the tent either. I ended up cutting a sleeping bag liner I had to cover the remaining floor to make sure nothing else could cause any damage. I really do like the size, the rainfly, the weight and such and the ease to set up but, I like the other reviews I saw , just feel the bathtub needs a stronger material to withstand what I could consider normal wear and tear that all of my other tents have been handling fine. I didn’t have any problems with the zippers or attaching the rainfly or anything either as some users have commented. They do remind me of the single wall style zippers but I’m use to being delicate with those to keep from zipping part of the tent into the zipper
